At the age of ten, she won first prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition at the national level for the first time. In the following years, further prizes in various ensembles were added. She was also honored with the “Azeiger” Cultural Promotion Prize and later with the Music Promotion Prize of the Canton of Solothurn awarded. Anna Jeger held a scholarship from the Zackzowski Stiftung and performed as an intern with the Sinfonieorchester Biel/Solothurn and the Musikkollegium Winterthur, where she continues to work as a substitute. At the international Concours de Genève she performed «Selbstgespräche … I» for cello solo by comoser Shin Kim, who won the first prize.
She is committed to realizing her solo and chamber music projects. A particular concern of hers is the rediscovery and performance of “forgotten music,” especially by female composers and lesser-performed composers. With this idea in mind, she founded her own concert series “Sounds Like Tales,” in which she develops and presents programs with a narrative approach. She is also part of the Female Classics platform, which advocates for the visibility of female composers in classical music. Her concert with pianist Shih-Yu Tang at the cultural center «La Prairie» was recorded and broadcast by Radio SRF 2 Kultur.
Alongside her performing activities, she is also an engaged educator: she teaches a private cello class in Zurich and is employed as a teacher at the Jugendmusikschule Frauenfeld. In addition, she is deepening her expertise in music physiology, completing her training in the summer of 2026 with the CAS Advanced Music Physiology certificate.
